A small percentage of people may experience an epileptic seizure when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns. CLEARANCE contains scenes with flashing lights, abrupt transitions between darkness and light, and CRT-style scanline effects. 02 / Audio environment
The game is designed to be played with headphones and contains:
- sudden loud sounds (jumpscare elements)
- low-frequency rumble (sub-bass) for tension building
- simulation of magnetic tape recordings and noise
- spatial audio with sound sources moving around the player
Set the volume in the game menu to a comfortable level. We recommend starting low and gradually increasing. The game offers a "Reduced audio intensity" option that attenuates peaks.

CLEARANCE is an adult psychological horror. The game contains strong and explicit content that some players may find disturbing:
Violence and blood
- graphic depictions of blood, wounds and serious injuries
- brutal violence — firearm, baton, physical confrontation
- killing of enemies, death of characters
- dead bodies, human remains, decomposing corpses
- traces of torture, interrogation practices and medical experiments
- scenes of vivisection and surgical procedures without anesthesia
Body horror and bodily deformation
- disfigured entities, fused characters, deformation of the human body
- visual aftermath of unethical psycho-medical experiments
- biological anomalies, parasitic organisms
- characters depicted in various stages of decomposition
Psychological and thematic
- intense tension, isolation, claustrophobia
- hallucinations, mental disintegration, paranoia, auditory and visual illusions
- themes of totalitarian regime, internment, imprisonment without trial
- memory loss, identity loss, loss of control over one's senses
- abuse of power, loss of humanity, character suicide (referenced)
- forced confrontations with no escape option

The game is not intended for players under 16 years of age (PEGI 16 / ESRB Mature). 04 / Playing recommendations
- Take breaks — at least 10 minutes every hour.
- Play in a well-lit room.
- Sit at a distance from the screen — at least 60 cm.
- Do not play if tired, impaired in concentration, or under the influence of alcohol or medication affecting alertness.
- If you feel nauseous, dizzy or disoriented, stop playing immediately and rest.
05 / Motion sickness
First-person perspective, vertex-jitter shader and limited field of view may cause kinetosis (motion sickness) in sensitive players. The game offers adjustable FOV (60–110°) and the option to disable head-bob.
